Now for the nitty gritty

Wasalu Muhammad Jaco (born February 17, 1982),^[1] better known by his stage name Lupe Fiasco, is a Grammy-winning American hip-hop artist. He rose to fame in 2006 following the success of his critically acclaimed debut album, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. Prominent hip hop mogul Jay-Z describes him as a "breath of fresh air" in a new hip hop world characterized by mainstream pop and glamor, a sharp contrast with the widespread lyricism-focused rap of the 1990s, and critics have called him the "Hip-Hop Generation's Next Vanguard."^{[2] (from wilipedia.com)}

So, Lupe Fiasco has a few albums out and his popularity is increasing. In his song 'Dumb it down' he flatly refuses to change the way he expresses himself. The question I now pose to you is..... Is Lupe pretentious and way over his head? or is he the truth wit no answer. Give your boy some feedback let me know what the people think.

I feel blessed to be in a part of the world that sets every type of trend you can think of. I am an emcee and I dabble in production. I've been rapping since I was nine years old and I have loved Hip-Hop since I was 4. My influences are Nas, Eminem, Big L, and Lupe Fiasco. I have been compared to Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Nas, and Common. I believe that I am what the pioneers would have wanted to see in an emcee. That's pretty much it as far as my BIO goes.
